The Grape Harvest in Burgundy

The work of the carrier is extremely physical:
after having filled its hood with the buckets of the vintagers...
.

...it must cross the vine...

to go to empty it in the bucket...

  

...like in the old times !!

The only difference undoubtedly lies in the materials which make the hood: formerly out of metal, the hoods are now made out of glass fibre.

 

The grapes are then transported to the cuvage for the setting out of barrels, and the wine making can then start.
